- Update on Rev. Marjory Quinn's Condition
- From Moira Nichols, 7.16.2010 -
For those of you who don't remember Marjory she was one of the first women ordained as a priest in California, and she served as the associate rector here at St. Augustine's for 2-3 years in the late 70s. She recently suffered an illness and went into hospital. When she returned home, she developed a persistent cough and returned to hospital. They found a clot in her kidney, which had damaged the kidney and weakened its ability to function. She is currently in a critical care hospital in the peninsula, and has been on dialysis for a while. The good news is that she is slowly recovering. Throughout this ordeal she has remained in good spirits. Pat Cummings says she is spending 12 hours a day at the hospital and is unable to return phone calls, but certainly appreciates the prayers and lovely cards. Pat also says Marjory has had one tough year, but is very pleased that she is now on the mend. For those of you who would like to call or send a card, their contact information is in the office and in the printed bulletin. Please keep Marjory in your prayers.
