St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church is distinctly Episcopal and distinctly Black. We are unique.
The Episcopal Book of Common Prayer informs our worship style AND we have a Jazz Band the first Sunday of the month. We take Eucharist every Sunday we hold hands to sing the Lord’s Prayer (not during COVID). We are a Black Church that affirms, accepts and loves all people; LGBTQIA+, rich & poor,
American & immigrant, housed & unhoused. Jesus, like manna in the desert, bread of heaven available
to each and all! St. Augustine’s is deeply rooted in Jesus and Social Justice.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to care for one another, the community, and the Earth while faithfully worshiping God
Help us Lovingly Share Life Together!
St. Augustine’s seeks to maintain it’s Black Church identity, rooted in the Episcopal Church, faithfully worshipping God and sharing all of life’s ups and downs together. We hope people are drawn to our loving, intergenerational community as we lovingly grow. Our faith in God empowers us to go into the world in peace to love and serve God. St. Augustine’s is a place of healing, growth and opportunity.
